Sc-53116 is a potent, selective inhibitor of the receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) ErbB2. It blocks the activation of ErbB2 and downstream signaling pathways, such as Akt and Ras. Sc-53116 hydrochloride hydrate is an antibody against ErbB2 that has been used in research tools to study cell biology and pharmacology. In particular, it has been shown to block the activation of ErbB2 and downstream signaling pathways, such as Akt and Ras. Sc-53116 hydrochloride hydrate is a ligand for ErbB2 that binds to it with high affinity.
