Descripción:2-Iodo-6-methoxyaniline is an indole alkaloid that is synthesized from the reaction of N,N-dimethylaniline with iodine and hydrogen peroxide. It has been used as a skeleton for the synthesis of other compounds. Synthetic chemistry has made significant advances in the field of natural products, e.g., 2-iodo-6-methoxyaniline can be considered a synthetic molecule that can be derived from natural sources. The natural product itself may be argued to be a natural product because it can be found in nature. The synthesis of 2-iodo-6-methoxyaniline is done through the addition of ethyl esters and triflate to pyrrole, which is done by using an active natural product, such as methyl iodide or sodium hydride in the presence of trifluoroacetic acid or sodium bicarbonate.
