1-(2-Chloro-4-fluorobenzyl)-5-methyl-3-nitro-1H-pyrazole is a pyrazole analog that has been shown to have cox-2 inhibitory effects. It also binds to the receptor for pyrazole, and it is a potent agonist at this receptor. 1-(2-Chloro-4-fluorobenzyl)-5-methyl-3-nitro--1H--pyrazole inhibits the production of prostaglandin E2, which may be due to its ability to bind to the Cox enzyme and prevent it from synthesizing prostaglandins.
