It can inhibit the activation of RAGE by preventing the binding of its ligands, including amyloid beta peptides and high mobility group box 1 protein. Sjfδ has been shown to inhibit ion channels and activate receptor-associated tyrosine kinases, which are proteins that regulate cell growth.
