Descripción

Resorufin-7-O-phosphate is a probe that can be used for the monitoring of phosphatase activity in cells. Resorufin-7-O-phosphate is an endogenous substrate for alkaline phosphatases and when cleaved by these enzymes, becomes resorufin. When this probe is incubated with cells, it is hydrolysed by endogenous alkaline phosphatases, resulting in the production of resorufin. This probe can be used as a real-time monitoring tool because of its high sensitivity and selectivity. The linker attached to the phosphate group on resorufin-7-O-phosphate allows it to be conjugated to other molecules or proteins, which increases its specificity.
