Descripción:Amcasertib is a β-catenin inhibitor that inhibits tumor growth and metastasis. It is currently in clinical trials for the treatment of cancer. Amcasertib inhibits the phosphorylation of β-catenin by GSK3β, which leads to its degradation by proteasomes, thereby reducing cellular levels of β-catenin. Amcasertib has also been shown to enhance the cytotoxicity of folfirinox, an anticancer drug. Amcasertib has a hydroxyl group at C-2 and a carbonyl group at C-4, which are necessary for binding to β-catenin. The lack of a disulfide bond makes amcasertib more stable than other potential β-catenin inhibitors.
