Descripción:UCPH-102 is a potent and selective inhibitor of acid transporter (AT) with a trimeric structure. It has been shown to inhibit glutamate release, synaptic function, and profile in vivo. UCPH-102 was found to be active in vivo with carboxy as the bioavailability enhancer and against human ATs. It is also an analog of UCPH-101 and it shows inhibitory activities against uptake of glutamate by rat brain synaptosomes with low bioavailability in vivo due to modifications on the molecule.
UCPH-102 has been shown to be more potent than UCPH-101 in vitro and in vivo, with a lower Km for glutamate uptake inhibition, higher potency for inhibiting synaptic function, and better penetration into the brain than UCPH-101.
