Descripción:D-Fructose 1,6-diphosphate is an ion-exchange resin that has been used for the isolation of calcium. It is also a calcium salt that is soluble in ethanol and water. This compound can be isolated from seaweed and it has been used as a filler in food. D-Fructose 1,6-diphosphate is often used to precipitate calcium ions from solutions with high pH values and it has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of DNA synthesis.
