4-Aminobenzoic acid hexyl ester is a cytoskeletal molecule that interacts with actin and myosin to form filaments. It has been shown to regulate transcriptional activity by reducing the level of reactive oxygen species or hydrogen peroxide, which are thought to induce cell death. 4-Aminobenzoic acid hexyl ester has also been shown to interact with imatinib, which is used in cancer treatment. This interaction may be due to the ability of 4-aminobenzoic acid hexyl ester to inhibit protein-protein interactions between proteins in the Wnt signaling pathway.
