6-Aminonicotinamide is an experimental drug that has shown promising results in animal studies. This compound may be useful for the treatment of cancer, due to its ability to inhibit reactive oxygen species and maintain mitochondrial membrane potential. 6-Aminonicotinamide also has a protective effect against radiation-induced cell damage, as it prevents oxidative injury to DNA and protein.
