• Descripción: Allylthiourea is an organometallic compound that is used as a wastewater treatment. It has been shown to be effective against antimicrobial peptides and also inhibits the growth of bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Staphylococcus aureus. Allylthiourea has been found to be a slow-release agent in glycol ethers, which may be due to its ability to inhibit molecules that are involved in the release of these substances. The structural analysis of allylthiourea has been carried out using x-ray diffraction data. It was found that allylthiourea binds to DNA and alters its structure, leading to genotoxic activity. Allylthiourea has also been shown to have electrochemical impedance spectroscopy properties and can be used for the determination of the concentration of inhibitor molecules in solutions.
