Ac-Arg-Gly-Lys(Ac)-AMC has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in cell culture and also shows potent antitumor activity against MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells. Ac-Arg-Gly-Lys(Ac)-AMC is also able to induce apoptosis in human leukemia cells and may have a potential role in therapy for acute myelogenous leukemia (AML).
