Descripción:Ac-Leu-pNA is a peptide that is isolated from pyrococcus furiosus. It has the ability to inhibit serine proteases, including trypsin and chymotrypsin, by forming hydrogen bonds with their active site. Ac-Leu-pNA also inhibits the activity of the enzyme proteasome, which breaks down proteins in cells. This inhibition is due to its ability to bind to the ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS) and block the enzymatic reaction. Ac-Leu-pNA has been shown to have a blood pressure lowering effect in humans.
