Descripción:Ac-Lys(Ac)-D-Ala-D-Ala-OH is a synthetic substrate for peptidases such as DPP IV, which belongs to the class of glycopeptides. The release of free L-lysine from Ac-Lys(Ac)-D-Ala-D-Ala-OH is catalyzed by DPP IV and other peptidases, which are enzymes that cleave peptide bonds in proteins. This product has been shown to be a competitive inhibitor of DPP IV and has been used in magnetic resonance spectroscopy studies to measure the binding constants between Ac-Lys(Ac)-D-Ala-D-Ala-OH and different glycopeptides. Acetylation at the N terminus has been shown to increase its stability against proteolysis.
