This drug has been shown to be active against schistosoma and pancreatic cancer cells, as well as in activating peroxide. HAPV may also have an effect on immunity and leukocytes, which could be due to its ability to sensitize these cells to damage caused by other agents, or through the hydrolytic enzymes it generates.
