Descripción:Z-Asp(ONp)-OBzl is a synthetic compound with minimal side-chain that can be used as a condensation and deprotection reagent in the synthesis of peptides. It functions to selectively cleave the N-terminal amino group from an unprotected peptide. This side chain is not present on natural amino acids and therefore provides selectivity for the N-terminal amino acid. Z-Asp(ONp)-OBzl has been found to be a more controllable and selective alternative to other deprotection reagents such as DBU, DCC, or TFA. The use of this reagent in peptide synthesis has been shown to provide high yields of unblocked chains with minimal side reactions.
