3-(Aminomethyl)phenylmethanol is a drug that has been shown to be effective in treating inflammation and cancer. It is a ligand that binds to inflammatory targets such as the Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) and the IL-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1Ra). This compound also binds to the protein target of the TLR4, which is an important mediator of inflammation. 3-(Aminomethyl)phenylmethanol has been shown to prevent tumor growth and metastasis in animal models by blocking these inflammatory pathways. 3-(Aminomethyl)phenylmethanol is also used for the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia, as it inhibits nuclear factor kappa B (NFκB), a protein that regulates inflammatory responses.
