4-Amino-5-fluoro-7-(β-D-ribofuranosyl)-7H-pyrrolo[2.3-d]pyrimidine is an analog of the natural product molybdenum cofactor. It has a particle shape and toroidal, linear shape. The electron density from X-ray diffraction data shows that the molecule consists of a large ring with a central molybdenum atom surrounded by four amine groups. The molecules also have a linear, helical section. 4AF7PDP can be used as an optical system for positioning and linear regression analysis, which is based on the kinetic energy and growth rate of liver cells. This drug is also a calcineurin inhibitor that blocks the action of calcineurin in the immune system, preventing T cell activation and proliferation.
