2-Aminodecanoic acid is an amide that has been shown to have hemolytic activity in animals. It also inhibits cell growth and has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of the growth factor for malignant cells. 2-Aminodecanoic acid is metabolized by the liver, although it does not undergo any significant hepatic metabolism. It has a neutral pH and can be administered orally or intravenously. The chemical formula of 2-aminodecanoic acid is C8H16N2O3 with a molecular weight of 188.2 g/mol.br>
