3-Amino-N-(tert-butyl)benzenesulfonamide is a pharmaceutical agent used to synthesize organic compounds. It is a cross-coupling agent that reacts with nucleophiles and electrophiles, such as amines and aryl halides, to form new carbon-nitrogen bonds. 3-Amino-N-(tert-butyl)benzenesulfonamide has been shown to react with nitrogen in natural products frameworks to produce biologically active molecules. 3-Amino-N-(tert-butyl)benzenesulfonamide can also be used for the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds, such as benzoxazole, using Buchwald type conditions. The use of this chemical as a catalyst has been shown to produce high yields of cross coupling reactions without the need for harsh reagents or elevated temperatures.
