Descripción

Ra2-aminoctanoicacid is a porcine pancreatic lipase inhibitor that is synthesized by reacting fatty acids with an amino acid. Ra2-aminoctanoicacid has been shown to have inhibitory properties on lipolytic enzymes, which are responsible for the hydrolysis of triglycerides. Ra2-aminoctanoicacid is also a detergent and can be used to measure the activity of lipolytic enzymes in the presence or absence of detergents. The kinetic constants for this enzyme have been determined using a variety of techniques, including spectrophotometry and circular dichroism (CD). This drug also has the ability to inhibit interfacial reactions between lipases and their substrates.
