Allyltert-butylcarbonate is an antibacterial agent that belongs to the group of synthetic compounds. Allyltert-butylcarbonate inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, preventing protein synthesis and cell division. This compound is a bioactive molecule that has been shown to have neuroprotective effects in mice with Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease. The yield of allyltert-butylcarbonate can be increased by using a cross coupling reaction.
