3-Amino-5-chloro-N-cyclopropyl-6-methoxy-4-methylthieno[2,3-b]pyridine-2-carboxamide is an atypical antipsychotic and a potentiator of clozapine. It acts as an antagonist for the 5HT1A receptor and as a partial agonist for the 5HT2C receptor. 3ACPMTC has been shown to increase acetylcholine release in rat brain cells in vitro, which may be due to its ability to antagonize chloride channels that are activated by acetylcholine. This drug has not been shown to have any effect on muscarinic acetylcholine receptors.
