(2R,3S)-3-Amino-2-pentanol is a small molecule that has been shown to inhibit the oncogenic pathways of cancer cells. It inhibits the oncoprotein p21 and induces apoptosis in chronic lymphocytic leukemia cells. (2R,3S)-3-Amino-2-pentanol was also found to have potent inhibition against the growth of various types of cancer cells and is currently undergoing clinical trials for its anti-cancer effects.
