Alloursodeoxycholic acid can be recycled from human or animal serum, which means it can be made without using any synthetic process. This drug is stereoselective, meaning that it binds to the enzyme stereoselectively. Alloursodeoxycholic acid also reduces carbonyl groups during its synthesis, making it an organic solvent-free drug. This drug inactivates dehydrogenases, which are enzymes that catalyze oxidation reactions, at high concentrations.
