• Descripción: 1-Amino piperazine is a cholinergic drug that is used in the treatment of chronic prostatitis. It also has been shown to have anti-cancer properties, particularly against skin cancer. 1-Amino piperazine inhibits the production of DNA, RNA, and protein by binding to the active site of enzymes involved in these processes. This inhibition leads to a reduction in cell division and an increase in cell death. 1-Amino piperazine has been shown to inhibit histone protein synthesis by blocking the enzyme histone deacetylase and has been observed to be effective against both cultured human cancer cells and transplanted mouse tumors. This drug also inhibits ion channels in the plasma membrane, which may contribute to its anti-cancer activity.
