Alkylacrylamide is a phase transition temperature monolayer that is pharmacologically active. It has been used as a cross-linking agent in the preparation of polymeric films and surfaces, as well as pharmaceuticals. Alkylacrylamide has been shown to have pharmacologic activity in humans and other animals. In vitro studies have shown that alkylacrylamide can be used for the treatment of burns, wounds, ulcers and other skin conditions. Alkylacrylamide is also used as a detergent composition for washing clothes and fabrics.
