• Descripción: N-Acetyl sulfadiazine is a sulfonamide drug that is used to treat urinary tract infections and bowel diseases. It is an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory agent. N-Acetyl sulfadiazine is prepared by reacting sulfadiazine with acetyl chloride in the presence of hydrochloric acid, followed by purification by preparative high-performance liquid chromatography (prep-HPLC) or preparative thin layer chromatography (prep-TLC). N-Acetyl sulfadiazine has been shown to inhibit particle formation in vitro and can be used as a particle probe for inflammatory bowel disease.
