• Descripción: N-Acetyl sulfamethazine is a sulfonamide antibiotic that is used to treat urinary tract infections. It is chemically related to sulfadiazine and has been shown to be effective against the same bacteria, such as Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Enterobacter aerogenes. N-acetyl sulfamethazine inhibits bacterial growth by inhibiting the synthesis of cell wall mucopeptides required for bacterial replication. It has a dose-dependent effect on urine samples and can be detected in analytical chemistry techniques.
