Descripción:(S)-O-Acetylmandelic acid is an enantiopure compound that is used as a co-catalyst in the asymmetric synthesis of aziridines. It has been shown to have anti-proliferative effects on cancer cells, with a molecular target of the enzyme lipase. (S)-O-Acetylmandelic acid was isolated from racemic mandelic acid with an isolated yield of 91% and an efficient synthetic method.
