L-Alanine benzyl ester hydrochloride has significant cytotoxicity against leukemia cells, which may be due to its ability to inhibit rna polymerase activity. L-Alanine benzyl ester hydrochloride can also be used as an inhibitor of angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE), which is important in regulating blood pressure.
