Descripción:
2-Amino-6-fluorophenol is a synthetic compound that can be used as a substrate in the synthesis of acetals and quinolines. It is an annulation product of acrolein, which can be prepared from phenols by hydrolysis with sodium hydroxide and sulfuric acid. 2-Amino-6-fluorophenol utilizes the synthetic method developed by Dieter O. Schulz, which involves reacting an amine with an aldehyde to form an acetal. The acetal is then hydrolyzed to release the amine group and produce the desired phenol. This synthetic method has been shown to be monophasic, with yields of up to 89%.
