(S)-2-Aminobutyramide hydrochloride is a strong acid that can be used in the synthesis of other compounds. It is made by dissociating acetic acid with hydrogen chloride, or by reacting ammonia with hydrochloric acid. (S)-2-Aminobutyramide hydrochloride is also known as 2-aminobutyric acid dihydrochloride and protonated aminobutyric acid.
