Descripción

Ambenonium dichloride is a drug that is used as an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor. It has been shown to have a number of effects on various tissues and organs, including heart tissue, the nervous system, and the muscles. Ambenonium dichloride binds to acetylcholine receptors in the brain and may also be able to penetrate into the central nervous system. The drug is used for treating symptoms of autoimmune diseases such as heart disease, or those related to neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer's or Parkinson's disease. This drug also inhibits the activity of enzymes involved in fatty acid metabolism and its use has been found to be effective in treating diabetic neuropathy.
