Descripción:1-Amino-cyclopentane carbonitrile is a pharmacological agent that can be used to treat angiotensin II and other peptides. It has an amine group with a hydroxyl group, which allows it to interact with the active site of angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE). 1-Amino-cyclopentane carbonitrile's mechanism of action is based on its ability to react with the halide and phenyl groups in ACE. The hydrolysis of ACE leads to the production of angiotensin I, which is then converted into angiotensin II by angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2). 1-Amino-cyclopentane carbonitrile also interacts with amines such as histamine and serotonin, inhibiting their synthesis.
