The albumin molecule can be found in many types of tissues, but its concentration varies depending on the tissue type. Albumin synthesis occurs both in the cytosol and endoplasmic reticulum. This protein has been shown to inhibit polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification of DNA sequences with high specificity.
