• Descripción: Ammonium heptamolybdate tetrahydrate (AHMT) is a lamellar crystal that has been found to have a low-energy structure. AHMT is formed by the reaction of ammonium nitrate with molybdenum trioxide, and can be prepared from a solution of ammonium sulfamate and molybdic acid. AHMT has been shown to have catalytic effect in the conversion of n-hexane to cyclohexane, as well as optical properties that are similar to those observed for other lamellar materials. AHMT has also been used clinically for the treatment of disulfides.
