Descripción:Acid Blue 40 is a reactive dye that has been shown to be an effective radiation-sensitive initiator of polymerization. Acid Blue 40 has also been found to have a cationic surfactant form, which reacts with an anionic detergent under alkaline conditions. This reaction mechanism leads to the formation of an insoluble blue precipitate that can be removed by filtering or centrifuging. The hydroxyl groups on the dye molecule are responsible for its reactivity.
