Descripción:Acetyltaurine is a reactive compound that is able to penetrate cell nuclei and may be used as a potential biomarker for oxidative stress. Acetyltaurine can be detected in the cytoplasm by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) methods. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of enzymes such as alpha-amylase, lipase, phospholipase A2, and cyclooxygenase-1 in biological samples. Acetyltaurine also inhibits receptor activity in vitro studies. This drug has been shown to have protective effects on models of congestive heart failure and platelet aggregation. Acetyltaurine also prevents locomotor activity in mice with liver disease.
