Descripción:Ammonium formate is a formic acid that is used in the treatment of bowel disease. It also has inhibitory properties against copper chloride and formic acid, which are two chemical compounds that are commonly found in wastewater. Ammonium formate can be used to treat wastewater by inhibiting complex enzymes (e.g., β-oxidoreductase) and preventing the formation of toxic chemicals such as formaldehyde, acetic acid, and hydrogen peroxide. Ammonium formate has been shown to increase the rate of phase transition temperature for zirconium oxide by suppressing its oxidation and reducing its thermal conductivity. The matrix effect of ammonium formate can be used as a model system for studying enzyme activities and biocompatible polymers.
