Información del producto
- 1-Aminobenzimidazole-2-Sulfonic Acid 99%
- 1-amino-1H-benzimidazole-2-sulfonic acid
1-Aminobenzimidazole-2-sulfonic acid is an intermediate in the synthesis of benzimidazole and carbonyl compounds. It is used as a condensation agent, forming hydrosulfide with aromatic aldehydes to produce sulfones. The condensation reaction can be performed in mixtures or separately to produce different products. 1-Aminobenzimidazole-2-sulfonic acid also reacts with amino groups to form aminobenzenesulfinic acids, which are intermediates in the formation of other aromatic compounds. 1-Aminobenzimidazole-2-sulfonic acid is made by hydrolysis of benzimidazoles, which are obtained from aromatic aldehydes through reduction of carbonyl compounds and subsequent oxidation. The reaction requires acid or base catalysis and produces hydrogen sulfide as a byproduct.
