N-Acetyl-D-tryptophan has been shown to have neuroprotective effects in bacterial strain, gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) binding constants, reaction solution, inhibitor binding, mitochondrial cytochrome c amide and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease urine samples.
