When mixed with polyester, it can be used to produce esters that are resistant to water. D-Aspartic acid dimethyl ester hydrochloride is also an aminopropyl glycol, which is directional and can be used as a polymerization agent for ethylene. This chemical has been shown to have hydroxyl groups and these can be exploited in the production of nano particles by using it in conjunction with a particle dispersion agent such as diethylene glycol.
