Descripción:2-Amino-3-nitrophenol is an inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinases that is active against a broad spectrum of pro-inflammatory and destructive enzymes. It has been used to inhibit the activity of matrix metalloproteinases in vitro and in vivo, with a wide range of applications in the fields of biochemistry, cell biology, and medicine. This compound has been shown to be effective against type strain C. albicans and C. glabrata strains, as well as other fungi such as Aspergillus niger, A. fumigatus, A. terreus, and A. flavus. 2-Amino-3-nitrophenol may have antifungal activity due to its ability to inhibit the synthesis of hyaluronic acid by these fungi.
