Descripción:Alfa-Fmoc-L-arginine is a synthetic amino acid that has been shown to have biological properties. It is also a precursor to the industrial preparation of polymers and pharmaceuticals. Alfa-Fmoc-L-arginine has been used in studies on heart function, as it can be converted into nitric oxide, which helps regulate blood pressure and circulation. This molecule has also been shown to have an anticancer activity. The anticancer activity may be due to its ability to inhibit the production of survivin, which is an inhibitor of apoptosis. Alfa-Fmoc-L-arginine also has acidic and nucleophilic attack properties that allow it to react with carbonyl oxygens in fatty acids. This reaction leads to the formation of a molecule with two carboxylic acids which are polar molecules that are soluble in water.
