Acid Red 134 is a dye that belongs to the group of amino acid dyes. It is used in textile manufacturing as a colorant and has been found to be mutagenic for bacteria. Acid Red 134 is also used as a hydrophobic dye, which means it does not dissolve in water and instead dissolves in organic solvents such as alcohol or acetone.
