Descripción:8-Aminocaprylic acid is a fatty acid that is found in human serum. It can be synthesized by oxidation of oleic acid, which is an omega-9 fatty acid. 8-Aminocaprylic acid has been shown to inhibit the growth of prostate cancer cells and to reduce the uptake of cholesterol by macrophages, which may contribute to its anti-inflammatory effects. It also binds to receptors on the surface of white blood cells and other types of immune cells, leading to changes in cell function. 8-Aminocaprylic acid is a cyclic peptide with amide bonds that are resistant to enzymatic hydrolysis.
