• Descripción: L-Asparagine methyl ester hydrochloride is a pediatric drug that is used in the treatment of oral mucositis, which is a side effect of chemotherapy. L-Asparagine methyl ester hydrochloride can be administered by mouth, and provides relief for patients with mucosal ulceration, pain or discomfort. It has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, which help to relieve symptoms of oral mucositis caused by steroids. In addition it has been shown to prevent the development of lymphoblastic leukemia in mice. L-Asparagine methyl ester hydrochloride inhibits the growth of cancer cells through its effects on lymphocytes and lymphoblasts.
