Información del producto
- 2-Amino-2-(naphthalen-4-yl)acetic acid
- 1-Naphthaleneacetic Acid, Alpha-Amino-
- Amino(1-naphthyl)acetic acid
Amino-naphthalen-1-yl-acetic acid is a non-nucleoside inhibitor of HIV reverse transcriptase. Amino-naphthalen-1-yl-acetic acid binds to the active site of HIV reverse transcriptase and inhibits the enzyme's ability to make RNA copies of viral DNA. It has been shown that amino-naphthalen-1-yl-acetic acid is more potent than thioacetamide in inhibiting HIV reverse transcriptase. Amino-naphthalen-1-yl acetic acid also has a mutant type selectivity and is active against wild type and mutant strains of HIV. Molecular modeling studies have shown that amino naphthalen 1 yl acetic acid binds to the enzyme's active site, which may be due to its similarity with thioacetamide, a known substrate for this enzyme.
