1-Amino-2-phenyl-propan-2-ol is a colorless liquid that is soluble in water. It has a nucleophile property, which reacts with sodium sulfite to give the corresponding sulfonium salt. The reaction produces an analyzed crossover and ring opening at temperatures between -10°C and 30°C. 1-Amino-2-phenyl-propan-2-ol has a viscosity of 0.5 cP at 25°C, which can be measured using viscometry. Micelles form when 1-amino-2 phenylpropane 2 ole is added to water and sodium bisulfite, which are both surfactants, or detergents that lower the surface tension of liquids by adsorbing onto the surface of the liquid. Sodium bisulfite also reduces the pH of water, making it more acidic and increasing its solubility in water. Aziridines are
